Oceans are deep and capable of pulling you under. That is why swimming reminds me of my father. It was he who taught me how to swim, to live life to the fullest until the last breath I draw. We arrive in this world having no say about our birth families, and start breathing before knowing what breathing is. We toil away for endless nights and days, breathing arduously through countless minutes and seconds. And yet to what end—how many of us knows?
