Rock Music Made in Taiwan
Dec 4, 2015
Venue:Recital Hall
Rock music first emerged in the United States during the 1950s, and soon gained extreme popularity featuring rich use of electronic music and celebration of love and the body in undisguised language. During the cold war, the music spread to Taiwan with the deployment of U.S. army personnel. Norman HSU, one of the first Taiwanese rock musicians since that time, partners with expert musicians in this concert, re-enlivening the passions of American rock music in its expressive, classic form.
